Belgian people have saved 30 million euro the last 12 months.

According to the statistics from the National Bank of Belgium, Belgian people have saved 30 million euro in the last year, this is approximately 2.5 million in a month. This is remarkable in view of the fact that the interest rates are very low. At least 12 banks have reduced their basic interest and bonuses since September. But on the other hand, more and more banks try to attract their customers by offering them special assets or by guaranteeing the interest rate for a specific period.
